The WCIB CFO organization is seeking a highly analytical analyst to drive enterprise-wide data, analytics, and process improvement initiatives. This role will partner closely with Finance Directors, business line leaders, data teams, and technology partners to improve data quality, automate reporting processes, and deliver actionable insights through Power BI dashboards and KPI reporting. This individual will play a key role in transforming how the WCIB CFO team leverages data to improve decision-making, identify opportunities, and monitor performance across all business lines.
Lead initiatives to improve data quality, governance, consistency, and transparency across WCIB Finance and business line reporting.
Identify data gaps, reporting inconsistencies, and manual processes, then develop scalable solutions to address root causes.
Partner with technology, data domain, and business stakeholders to define requirements for new and enhanced data products.
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights to executives and business leaders.
Create interactive visualizations that simplify complex financial information and support strategic decision-making.
Enhance self-service reporting capabilities for Finance and business partners.
Drive adoption of new tools, reporting capabilities, and analytical methodologies.
Work with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators, targets, and success metrics.
Create executive-level dashboards that provide a consistent view of performance, trends, and risks.
Ensure KPIs are presented in a concise, intuitive, and actionable format.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
Typically three or more years of related experience
Moderate-advanced experience in Oracle SQL is highly preferred
Some experience with Snowflake, Power BI, Python
Working knowledge of financial analysis techniques and general accounting procedures
Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
Thorough knowledge in financial analysis, forecasting, and planning
Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
Strong technical skills related to data mining and visualization tools
Master's degree preferred
