Job summary

Danone is seeking a Finance Analyst for our Dallas beverage manufacturing plant. The role focuses on accounting, cost accounting, and financial analysis to support plant decisions and month-end close.

You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Corporate Finance to provide insights, improve controls, and drive cost efficiency in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. A strong Excel and ERP background (SAP/Coupa) is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries while ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of general ledger accounting concepts including debits, credits, accruals, prepaids, and account reconciliations.
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and support Income Statement reviews and variance analysis.
  • Analyze and monitor plant cost centers, identifying risks and opportunities to meet financial targets.
  • Support payroll accounting processes and labor cost analysis.
  • Develop and present financial analyses, forecasts, and business cases to plant leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Create and manage purchase orders through Coupa and support procurement-related financial processes.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility of key operational and financial KPIs.
  • Support inventory accuracy initiatives and conduct periodic analysis of material consumption, losses, and manufacturing variances.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and process standardization.

Short Intro and About the Job

At Danone, manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a Finance Analyst based in our Dallas, Texas beverage manufacturing plant.

This position is ideal for a candidate with a strong accounting and cost accounting background who is passionate about financial analysis and business partnering within a manufacturing environment. The role will have primary responsibility for supporting plant accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, payroll analysis, fixed assets, cost center management, month-end close, and financial statement analysis.

The successful candidate will partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Corporate Finance to provide meaningful financial insights, improve financial controls, and support business decisions. This role will also support the Plant Controller in the month-end close process, weekly forecasting, annual operating plan development, and strategic financial planning through clear and concise variance analysis and reporting.

The salary range for this position is $73k-99k USD. The exact salary offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, geographic location, internal equity, and market conditions. About You
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA, CMA, or progress toward certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting, cost accounting, or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, debits and credits, accruals, payroll accounting, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing Income Statements, Balance Sheets, cost centers, manufacturing variances, labor costs, and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience with inventory accounting, fixed assets, standard costing, and manufacturing financial reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, advanced formulas, Power Query, and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with Power BI dashboard development and data visualization preferred.
  • ERP experience required; SAP and Coupa experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and partner effectively with Operations, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Engineering, and Plant Leadership teams.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing environment as business needs dictate.
