Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Financial Analyst to join a large DoD program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role allows remote work for 2 days per week and requires handling budgets and financial execution using DoD systems.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of related experience, familiarity with GFEBS or similar systems, and strong Excel skills. Active Secret/Top Secret clearance is required for on-site DoD contract support.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience with GFEBS or similar system.
• High proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reports).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience providing financial analyst/budget analyst support to a DoD contract.

Essential Duties of the Financial Analyst:

• Utilize DoD Financial Systems and other tools to develop, manage, and analyze budget and financial execution.
• Prepare and track financial documents such as MIPRs and PWDs.
• Review, track, and identify errors or variances in budgets.
• Review and monitor budget information in the Defense travel system (DTS).

Qualifications of the Financial Analyst:

• 2+ years of relevant professional experience
• Experience with GFEBS or similar system
• High proficiency in Excel (manage data, create formulas, pivot tables, generate reports)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
• Experience in providing financial analyst/budget analyst support to an on-site DoD contract.

Compensation for the Financial Analyst:

• $75,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
• 2 remote days per week
