Pilgrim’s is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Regional Accounting Manager in month-end close, forecasting, and reporting. You will collaborate across Accounting, Operations, and Corporate teams and prepare concise narratives for leadership.

This office-based role may require travel to various facilities including Sumter, SC and other locations. The position emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to internal controls while contributing to cross-functional initiatives and process

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a financial analyst, accounting, or related role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

• Analyze daily financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Financial Analyst (Accountant)

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst supports the Regional Accounting Manager in a variety of accounting and financial analysis functions. This role is responsible for coordinating month-end closing activities, consolidating weekly financial estimates, analyzing financial and operational performance, preparing monthly and quarterly reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The Financial Analyst works closely with Accounting, Operations, and Corporate teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives, collaborating with team members at all organizational levels, from Accounting Clerks to Executive Leadership.

The position can be located at any of the Pilgrim’s facilities listed – Douglas, GA, Marshville, NC, Sumter, SC, Broadway, VA, Nacogdoches, TX or Mt. Pleasant, TX East.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze daily financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate and consolidate weekly financial estimates and supporting narratives for business unit reporting.
• Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly financial performance reports.
• Develop and complete ad hoc financial analyses and reports as requested by Accounting, Corporate, and Operations leadership.
• Assist in the preparation and posting of monthly journal entries.
• Review financial reports for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Coordinate the collection and organization of information for quarterly operational reviews.
• Support the Regional Accounting Manager in monthly budget planning, forecasting, and financial review processes.
• Gather key performance indicator (KPI) data and develop financial presentations for management review.
• Assist in the preparation and analysis of the annual operating budget.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in a financial analyst, accounting, or related role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and financial reporting practices.
• Basic understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and internal control requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Experience working with SAP or a similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
• Proven leadership and teamwork capabilities.
