Job summary

The Prism Health Group, LLC specializes in independent pharmacy consulting and analytics designed to lower costs and improve care delivery. The Financial Analyst will translate market data into actionable insights and support development of analytics enhancements for clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics/Informatics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or similar qualification required.
  • Three (3) years experience in a pharmacy / healthcare related field (business management, finance, analytics, consulting, IT, or related).
  • Demonstrated ability to respectfully challenge and engage internal partners through persuasive, authentic dialogue.
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills that clearly communicate concepts, products, and solutions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (advanced Excel preferred).
  • Proficient in using query tools (SQL) to extract and query data; ability to analyze raw data with accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, resourceful, critical thinking, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Attest and commit to independent thought leadership, humility, authenticity, and stewardship to clients and partners.
  • Participate in analytics development to enhance deliverables and maintain system performance.
  • Develop and enhance internal systems and client deliverables including plan reviews and financial reconciliations.
  • Collaborate to compile market intelligence contributing to market development and product differentiators.
  • Identify pharmacy data trends to improve financial and clinical outcomes.
  • Expand mastery of SQL, analytics platforms, Excel, and Access for data analysis prep.
  • Produce ongoing client analytics deliverables and regular pharmacy claims performance reports.
  • Prepare client-specific Pharmacy Plan Reviews using proprietary software and analytics capabilities.
  • Assist with benefit design recommendations based on industry trends.
  • Escalate PBM client service issues as directed by Client Management; document client meetings and calls.

Prism was founded in 2019, on the premise that the healthcare industry lacked an independent and objective voice to those struggling to reign-in their pharmacy program performance. In addition to deploying conventional pharmacy consulting solutions, Prism assists self-funded plan sponsors, health plans, and third-party administrator (TPA) organizations to thoughtfully develop and implement uniquely tailored enterprise pharmacy strategies and solutions. Opportunity Description

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing support and insights for internal and external clients on data-driven PBM analytics. The Financial Analyst is responsible for translating market data into organized and contextual information. Furthermore, the Financial Analyst will assist in the development of new and innovative analytics enhancements that support the overall Prism value propositions.

These responsibilities will also include fielding routine to complex requests related to our Client Partner’s plan performance, validation of contractual performance, identification of industry trends and supporting delivery of analysis findings. The Financial Analyst will be required to maintain a high degree of quality in deliverables through accuracy, responsiveness, reliability, and professionalism during every interaction in an extremely fast-paced environment.

  • Attest and commit to putting forth independent thought leadership, humility, authenticity, and dedicated stewardship to client partners, members / patients, internal and external partners;
  • Participate in analytics development to enhance current deliverables, remedy outstanding issues, and maintain system performance;
  • Develop and enhance internal systems and key client deliverable products and solutions, which includes ongoing plan reviews, financial reconciliations, and procurement;
  • Collaborate with Prism team to compile market intelligence that will contribute to ongoing market development, product differentiators, and firm wide strengths / weaknesses.
  • Identify pharmacy specific data trends to improve financial and clinical outcomes;
  • Expand mastery of SQL, analytics reporting platform, Excel, and Access Database resources including data querying, enhancement, and preparation for data analysis;
  • Collaborate to effectively prioritize firm analytics needs and opportunities for development;
  • Production of ongoing Client Partner analytics deliverables, creating regularly scheduled reports of pharmacy claims performance;
  • Preparation of Client Partner specific Pharmacy Plan Reviews using proprietary software and analytics capabilities;
  • Assist with recommendations on benefit design based on industry trends;
  • Resolve or appropriate escalation of PBM client service issues at the direction of the Client Management team; and
  • Participate and document discussions during client meetings and conference calls.
Core Competencies & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics/Informatics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or similar qualification required;
  • Three (3) years experience in a pharmacy / healthcare related field, i.e., business management, finance, accounting, analytics, consulting, information technology (IT), or related field;
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to respectfully challenge and engage internal partners through persuasive, yet authentic dialogue;
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills that assertively and respectfully communicates challenging concepts, products, and solutions;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint (advanced knowledge in Excel a plus);
  • Proficient in using query tools (i.e. SQL) to extract and query data. Experience analyzing raw data, with ability to think logically and process sequentially with a high level of detailed accuracy;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization, resourceful, critical thinking, and time management skills.
