Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling is seeking a Financial Analyst in Springfield to provide rigorous financial reporting and profitability analysis for material and product costs. You’ll partner with project management, engineering, sourcing, and commercial teams to drive margin improvements and accuracy in costing models.

Responsibilities include variance analysis, monthly reporting, and collaboration across Finance and Operations to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics.
• 1+ years of financial analysis experience in manufacturing.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and strong data interpretation.
• Knowledge of income statement/balance sheet and cash flow relationships.
• Ability to present complex data simply and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own profitability analysis via gross margin, detailing material and manufacturing costs to margins.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance to identify margin drivers and improvement actions.
• Create and maintain product costing models and margin dashboards for pricing decisions.
• Perform variance analysis on material costs and drive corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Prepare weekly/monthly material margin, cost and profitability reports for leadership.
• Monitor cost changes and identify opportunities for cost reduction and design-to-cost initiatives.
• Support annual plans, forecasts and long-range plans with detailed cost models.
• Lead ad hoc profitability and efficiency projects to enable growth.
