Job summary

The Financial Analyst at Evlo AI supports corporate finance, financial reporting, and control activities for a growing tech company in San Francisco with a hybrid schedule. You will translate financial data into clear insights for business leaders and ensure audit-ready analysis on a steady cadence.

You will partner with accounting, FP&A, legal, and compliance to support US GAAP reporting, SOX controls, and SEC-related requirements, while building robust models and recurring dashboards.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in financial analysis or related roles in tech or public companies
• Strong US GAAP, financial statement analysis, internal controls, and SOX compliance requirements
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets with financial modeling, pivot tables, lookups, and scenario analysis
• Experience with ERP, planning, and reporting systems like NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Adaptive Planning, Tableau, Looker
• Ability to use SQL or similar analytical tools to query, validate, and reconcile large financial datasets
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business; CPA, CFA, or progress toward certification is a plus
• Bonus: SEC filings, IPO readiness, revenue recognition analysis, public-company audits, or SOX control design and testing

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages with variance analysis, forecast updates, and executive-ready commentary
• Analyze revenue, operating expenses, headcount, cash flow, and KPIs using Excel, SQL, and BI tools
• Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning by partnering with budget owners and maintaining financial models
• Coordinate documentation and testing for SOX controls, including evidence collection, remediation tracking, and audit requests
• Reconcile financial data across the general ledger, subledgers, billing systems, and reporting platforms; investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Support SEC reporting and external audit activities by preparing schedules, analytical support, and documentation aligned with US GAAP
• Build and improve recurring reports and dashboards in NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Workday, Tableau, or Looker

The Financial Analyst supports corporate finance, financial reporting, and control activities for a growing technology business. The role analyzes operating results, prepares management reporting, and translates financial data into clear insights for business and finance leaders.
You will work across accounting, FP&A, legal, and compliance to support US GAAP reporting, SOX controls, and SEC-related requirements. The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid schedule and is responsible for producing accurate, audit-ready analysis on a consistent reporting cadence.

What We Are Looking For
