Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a data-driven professional to generate regular financial and decision-support reports for hospital leadership. You will ensure data integrity, train staff, and deepen expertise in the Visionware/finance data ecosystem.

You will analyze budgets, labor and supply metrics, and support management decisions with ad hoc analyses. Strong technical skills and healthcare knowledge are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required (BA/BS in relevant field).
Strong analytical and statistical skills with ability to interpret data.
Experience with health plans and healthcare industry knowledge preferred.
Proficient in SQL and Excel; strong reporting and presentation abilities.
Ability to communicate clearly with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Produce and distribute regular reports from Financial and Decision Support systems.
Perform data integrity checks and reconciliations.
Attain expertise in reporting tools and data elements; document procedures.
Educate hospital staff on Financial and Decision Support tools.
Apply statistical methods to assess data validity and reliability.

Job Description:

Produces and distributes regular reports from the Financial and Decision Support systems, including physician statistics, readmission rates, mortality stats, losses, costs, market shares, and various ad hoc reports.
Performs integrity checks and reconciliations on data from the Financial and Decision Support systems.
Attains expert knowledge of the Financial and Decision Support systems, including maintenance, data download routines, report writing/query procedures, and data elements.
Educates and trains hospital staff on the use of Financial and Decision Support information and tools.
Applies mathematical analysis to determine the validity and reliability of statistical data.
Reviews and calculates standards/target hours for departments based on budget information.
Maintains and sets up users and departments in the Visionware system, performing daily/bi-weekly data interfaces and validations.
Prepares and distributes statistical reports, including labor-related and supply-related reports, to assist management in decision-making.
Updates budget templates, produces budget reports, and reconciles budget data for presentation.
Assists with General Ledger questions related to budget variances and works closely with Financial Planning and Accounting staff to resolve data design problems.
