Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a finance professional to lead forecasting, planning and plant analysis, interpreting actuals, plans and capital investments to support management decisions.

The role covers monthly closings, preparation of financial reports to Corporate and Division, and delivery of standard PCC financial packages. Strong analytical skills and ERP experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years business experience in finance/plant environment.
• B.S. in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.
• Strong analytical ability and business judgment with effective presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and forecast financial results (actuals, plans, forecasts).
• Take lead on forecasting with GM and Executive Team.
• Prepare and update forecast files and monthly closings.
• Support external reporting and ensure integrity of financial reports and analyses.
• Coordinate financial support to the Executive team across departments.
• Prepare Monthly/Quarterly Operating Packages and P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow analyses.
• Analyze capital expenditures and investment decisions with Plant management.

Job description

Responsible for understanding and interpreting Plant financial information and analysis, including actuals, plans, forecasts, and capital analysis. Take lead role in forecasting, planning, and project analysis. Assist with monthly closing, preparation of financial reports to Corporate and Division.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Analysis and forecasting of financial results:
• Responsible for understanding and interpreting financial info, including daily, weekly, and monthly actuals, plans, forecasts, investment analysis, in support of business management and decision-making.
• Take primary responsibility for forecasting, working with the GM and Executive Team to understand and quantify business issues and their impact on future results.
• Prepare and Update forecast files.
• Support PCC management and external reporting processes by providing input to, and helping to ensure the integrity of, financial reports and analysis, and by promptly disclosing issues and exposures.
• Coordination of financial support to the Executive team (Sales, planning, purchasing, engineering, etc).
• Preparation and analysis of standard PCC Financial Reports:
• Monthly and Quarterly Operating Packages,
• Quarterly Financial Package, Daily/Weekly/Monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.
• Investment / decision support analysis:
• Analyze capital expenditures and other investment decisions being considered by Plant management.
• Work closely with Plant management to identify key risks and alternatives.

REQUIREMENTS

• B.S. Accounting or Finance
• MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 5-10 years business experience.
• This position requires exceptional analytical ability, sound business judgment, and effective presentation and communication skills.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• 5-10 years business experience, preferably in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Knowledge and Understanding of Standard Costing System.
• Experience in using mid to large size ERP Systems.
• Exposure to SOX in a public company environment
• Exposure to modern manufacturing tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc).

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $65,000 to $80,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.

• For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter.
• Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year.
• Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
