Job summary

Eaton Group in Puerto Rico seeks a Finance Partner to support the Plant Manager with timely financial information on the production load plan, site expenses, and cost-saving initiatives.

You will handle month-end closes, forecasts, and profit plans, and drive continuous improvement through internal controls and CIF projects. Bilingual English/Spanish required, manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Full bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Knowledge of ERP and controls is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Finance Manager with month-end closing, variance analysis, and balance scorecard prep.
• Support month-end forecast and Profit Plan processes with reports and reviews.
• Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) for internal/external stakeholders.
• Lead system implementation and process improvements; promote CIF culture.
• Establish internal controls and ensure SOX compliance where applicable.
• Support CAPEX initiatives and asset control for the Haina site.

What you’ll do:

Job summary

Serve as a business partner to the Plant Manager by providing accurate and timely financial information related to the production load plan, site expenses, cost savings initiatives, special analyses, headcount, and other key metrics.

Job responsibilities

1. Assist Plant Finance Manager in preparing and monitoring the Finance / Accounting activities in the areas of:
   • Month-end closing process – Financial review, variance analysis, balanced scorecard preparation.
   • Month-end forecast process - report preparation, operational / financial review and variance analysis.
   • Profit Plan process - report preparation, operational / financial review and variance analysis.
   • Various financial and non-financial operational performance control measures and analysis.
   • Support CAPEX initiatives for the Haina site and support in Fixed Asset control and maintenance of F.A. system plus CAR preparation / review support.
   • Evaluate cost reduction projects and assess their impact on the P&L.
   • Assist in special projects in support of a Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) culture.
   • Other ongoing activity or special projects as necessary.
2. 2\. Prepare, understand and interpret financial statements; P&L, Balance Sheet, and other financial measures from internal and external customers of the finance function at local, divisional and corporate levels.
3. 3\. Lead systems implementation and upgrades; making recommendations for process improvement.
4. 4\. Promote an atmosphere of continuous improvement.
5. 5\. Establish and maintain internal controls and evaluation of plant systems for conformance to division and corporate guidelines, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
6. 6\. Assess the development needs of Finance / Accounting personnel and help develop employees through training and motivation.

Qualifications

Education level required

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.

Years and area of experience required

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in similar position

Experience in a manufacturing environment
