A leading oil and gas company in Houston, TX is seeking a knowledgeable data analyst to gather and validate information from diverse sources, maintain databases, and support financial modeling processes. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of upstream Oil & Gas operations experience along with proficiency in Aries and other relevant software tools.   • Minimum of 3 years of experience associated with upstream Oil & Gas Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, consolidate, and validate information from various data sources.
  • Maintain databases and feed analyses into relevant tools.
  • Create and maintain processes related to well economics and financial parameters.
  • Configure and run economic cases.
  • Collaborate with Business Units to incorporate analyses into financial models.
  • Work with finance professionals to support meaningful analysis.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as needed.

Job description

The position involves gathering, consolidating, and validating information from various internal, private, and public data sources. You will maintain databases and data sources that feed analyses in tools such as Spotfire, Excel, Aries, and Corporate Financial Models. Proficiency in Aries is essential as you will create and maintain processes related to well economics and corporate financial parameters, while configuring and running economic cases. Working closely with Business Units to incorporate analyses into financial models will be a significant part of your role, as well as collaboration with finance professionals for meaningful analysis.
