Job summary

Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company in Hollister, CA seeks a Financial Analyst to join our finance team. You will support monthly close, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and provide data-driven insights to drive business performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 3–5 years FP&A experience, and strong Excel with financial modeling; SQL or Power BI experience is a plus. U.S.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of FP&A or financial analyst experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in communicating the operating company’s financial performance, plan, and targets to various levels of the organization.
  • Investigate and analyze monthly variances to the forecast, plan, prior period, and prior year as required.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis for strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Partner with functional managers in accounting, finance, operations, supply chain, program management, pricing, and contracts to develop monthly forecasts and budgets.
  • Apply a learning mindset and the RBS (Ralliant Business System) for continuous improvements.
  • Proactively identify risks and opportunities (bias for action).
  • Communicate data-driven recommendations to move the business forward.

Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC), a leader in providing energetic material solutions for the aerospace and defense industry, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Hollister, CA team. PacSci EMC delivers mission‑critical technologies that support both commercial and defense programs worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in communicating the operating company’s financial performance, plan, and targets to various levels of the organization.
  • Investigate and analyze monthly variances to the forecast, plan, prior period, and prior year as required.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc analysis for strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Partner with functional managers in accounting, finance, operations, supply chain, program management, pricing, and contracts to develop monthly forecasts and budgets.

Education And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of FP&A or financial analyst experience.

Manufacturing Background Preferred

Understanding of factory operations and manufacturing processes is favored; strong financial statement experience from other industries may also be considered.

Compensation
  • Eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
  • Pay range: $87,720–$162,840 (local currency).
ITAR & Export Controls

The essential duties of this position require adherence to U.S. Government export control regulations. Candidates must be U.S. persons or obtain necessary U.S. government export authorizations.
