Job summary

Brunswick's Mercury Marine in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, is seeking a Finance professional to partner with the Parts & Accessories business unit. Gather, analyze, and report data to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making as the finance lead for multiple product lines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations, review performance, and provide ad hoc analyses and business cases for new product initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance required.
  • 2+ years of financial analysis or accounting experience.
  • Strong Excel skills and cross-functional collaboration ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations per internal controls.
  • Analyze and report monthly/quarterly/annual financial performance and explain variances.
  • Coordinate annual budget and monthly forecasts for business units and cost centers.
  • Provide sales, margin, and pricing analysis for key units and product lines.
  • Lead finance aspects of new product development, with business cases and sensitivity analyses.

See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:Position Overview:As part of the talented Finance team, you will be responsible for partnering with the Mercury Parts & Accessories business unit to help gather, analyze, and report data that provides valuable insights and supports strategic decision-making while being the finance lead for a portfolio of product lines and functional areas. This person will work closely with cross-functional teams including category management, service operations, and others to ensure accurate budgeting/forecasting and to understand/explain actual performance variances.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.Essential Functions:Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations to conform with Brunswick internal control requirementsReview, analyze, and report on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance to explain variances and determine key drivers impacting performanceCoordinate the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts for applicable business units and operating cost centersProvide finance and business partnership support for service, category management, and various other departmentsProvide sales, margin, and pricing analysis for key business units and product linesParticipate in new product development teams as the finance lead. Prepare business cases, sensitivity analyses, and recommendations to drive program successProvide ad hoc analysis and lead special projects as requests are madeRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required2 or more years of experience in financial analysis and/or accountingStrong collaboration skills and ability to drive alignment among key stakeholders across business unit functionsStrong problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience working in a team environment with various functions of an organizationProficiency using Microsoft ExcelThe anticipated pay range for this position is 62,800 – 90,500 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
