Hexcel is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team onsite in Decatur, AL. This role partners with operations to deliver FP&A insights, influence decisions, and drive manufacturing efficiency within a leading aerospace materials company.

The position collaborates with business and corporate finance to support investment decisions, cost management, and financial controls, reporting to the Global Controller.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in operational finance or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems; experience with Journal Entries and advanced Excel skills.

  • Provide Financial Planning and Analysis support to leadership.
  • Lead manufacturing cost improvement initiatives across products.
  • Support monthly financial close processes and accounting work.
  • Participate in capital expenditure planning and project evaluations.
  • Conduct audits of financial processes and transactions.
  • Support internal and external audits of financial controls.

Become a part of the “strength within.” Hexcel is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join their team onsite in Decatur, AL. This is more than a traditional finance role. You'll serve as a trusted business partner to operations leaders, leading analysis and influencing decisions that directly impact manufacturing performance, cost competitiveness, and long-term growth. Working at the intersection of finance and operations, you'll transform data into actionable insights and help drive o excellence across a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. As a key member of our collaborative U.S. Finance team, you'll work closely with the business and corporate finance to support critical business decisions. Whether evaluating capital investments, improving manufacturing costs, or strengthening financial processes, your work will help shape the future of a facility that plays a vital role in supplying materials used in the world's most advanced aerospace applications. This role reports to the Global Controller. What you will do
  • Serve as a key finance business partner to the leadership team by providing Financial Planning and Analysis support, particularly by maturing and streamlining financial frameworks to enable increased management rigor across the various dimensions of the business.
  • Lead manufacturing cost improvement for all products, including feedback on estimated manufacturing costs for future programs, identification of focus areas for cost, and execution of identified initiatives.
  • Support the operation of the business through performance of working-level professional accounting work to and participating in monthly financial close process.
  • Support the capital expenditure planning and execution process for medium to high complexity projects to ensure highest returns on net assets and investments.
  • Conduct audits on financial processes and transactions.
  • Support both internal and external audits of financial controls.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting preferred)
  • Advanced degree such as a MBA, MAcc, CPA or CMA preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in operational finance or manufacturing
  • 2+ years cost accounting experience (preferred)
  • Demonstrated evidence partnering with various levels of organizations
  • Familiarity with MRP systems is preferred, experience with Journal Entries and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Eligible candidates must be a: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum.
