Position Summary
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support performance reporting, financial analysis, and business decision support across a dynamic operating environment. This individual will partner closely with finance, commercial, and operational stakeholders to deliver actionable insights into business performance, identify key drivers of results, and support strategic initiatives through robust analysis and reporting.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong FP&A experience, advanced analytical capabilities, and the ability to communicate financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reporting packages for business leaders.
- Analyze profit and loss performance, investigate variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods, and provide concise explanations of key business drivers.
- Monitor revenue, margin, cost, customer, and market trends to identify risks, opportunities, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Support finance, sales, and operations teams through recurring and ad hoc analyses that aid decision-making and business planning.
- Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity assessments to evaluate business opportunities and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct profitability, pricing, customer, and contract analyses to improve business performance and resource allocation.
- Generate insights from large data sets using reporting, business intelligence, and data visualization tools.
- Partner with operational and commercial leaders to understand performance drivers and recommend actions to improve financial outcomes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
- Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and management reports summarizing financial performance and key trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, accounting, performance finance, or a related analytical function.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, financial reporting, and business performance metrics.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, including financial modeling, data analysis, and executive reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Cognos, Hyperion, Power BI, or similar reporting tools is preferred.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
