Job summary

Huntington Bancshares, Inc. is seeking an associate on the FAS team to develop solutions for clients’ financial and operational challenges. You will apply accounting and finance expertise in transaction advisory, turnaround, and restructuring projects, contributing to QoE work and diligence efforts.

The role covers financial modeling, data analytics, and process improvement, with collaboration across lenders, creditors, and investors. Travel up to 25-50% may be required depending on engagements.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree Accounting, Finance, or other analytical fields.
• 2-4 years of experience in corporate restructuring, investment, accounting, and/or consulting.
• MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or other analytical fields.
• Advanced foundation in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical financial results to identify normalized earnings, working capital trends, and key diligence findings.
• Assist in QoE reports, including revenue, margin, and EBITDA analyses.
• Identify adjustments related to non-recurring items, accounting policy differences, and operational inefficiencies.
• Evaluate working capital targets and drivers, including seasonality and normalization.
• Support client interactions, data requests, and management interviews during buy-side and sell-side diligence processes.
• Perform cash flow forecasting, liquidity analysis, and 13-week cash flow models.
• Analyze capital structures and debt agreements to identify risks and restructuring options.
• Support development of turnaround plans, cost reduction initiatives, and operational improvement strategies.
• Assist with stakeholder communications, including lenders, creditors, and investors.
• Assist in bankruptcy preparation and administration for clients.
• Conduct scenario analysis to evaluate restructuring outcomes.
