If you can close — and you’re tired of prospecting to earn the right to close — read this.
Alpha 1 Tax & Wealth is hiring an in-office Financial Advisor in North Denver/Thornton to run firm-provided, pre-qualified appointments, deliver tax-integrated retirement plans, and convert opportunities into new client relationships.
Compensation (Year 1)
- Target: $200,000–$350,000+ for proven advisors
- Structure: Competitive base + uncapped revenue your production + vesting/equity in your clients over time.
What You Get
- No “build-a-book-from-scratch”: Consistent inbound demand and pre-set appointments
- Tax-integrated planning: In-house tax pros to support real retirement tax strategy
- Holistic Planning under one roof: investments + retirement income + risk solutions + coordinated legacy conversations
- A defined process + high standards: Full calendars, clean execution, and zero tolerance for passive advisor energy
- Location: In-office (Thornton/North Denver) — 16649 Washington St, Thornton, CO 80023
The Opportunity
This role is for the advisor who knows they just need more real at-bats. You’ll sit with retirees and pre-retirees, run a real discovery, build a comprehensive plan, and confidently ask for the business when it makes sense. The firm’s marketing engine creates opportunities — your job is to convert them into AUM and appropriate insurance/annuity implementations, coordinated with tax and estate strategy when relevant.
Ideal Candidate
- You’re an elite relationship builder and a decisive closer. Consultative, not passive.
- You want a full calendar. You’re sharper with volume, not burned out by it.
- You’re process-faithful. You can plug into a proven system and get better fast.
- You’re high-integrity. Fiduciary mindset, clean documentation, no shortcuts.
- You’re comfortable integrating taxes into planning. You don’t outsource the most important conversation in retirement.
Who this is NOT for
- Coasters: If “good enough” is your standard, you'll hate us, and this will be miserable
- Advisors who already know everything: If you refuse to run a firm process and already know everything, we're probably not for you.
- Product cynics: If you’re philosophically opposed to insurance/annuities (FIAs) as planning tools and part of the overall solution when it makes sense for the client, you should pass.
- Loose operators: If effort and follow-through aren’t part of your craft, they should be!
Qualifications
- Series 65 (or equivalent, e.g., Series 66 or CFP)
- Life & Health Insurance license.
- 2+ years in a client-facing advisory/consultative sales role with real closing responsibility
- Strong retirement income-planning competency (Social Security, taxes in retirement, sequence risk, longevity, etc.).
- In-office availability in Thornton with the stamina to run a full calendar consistently
Preferred
- Fixed indexed annuity experience (retirement income/principal protection/bold alt concepts)
- Experience in an appointment-based, marketing-driven model.
If you’re currently employed and discreet, we’ll keep the process confidential.
