Job summary

Santander US is seeking a Financial Advisor to identify client financial needs and deliver investment and insurance recommendations aligned with regulatory standards. You will build and grow an assigned book of business through tailored financial planning and regular client reviews.

The role emphasizes needs-based planning, multi-product solutions, and a strong focus on compliant, ethical sales within Santander Investments. Extensive FINRA licensing is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience: Finance, Economics, MIS, Statistics or equivalent field. - Required.
  • Master's Degree Finance, Economics, MIS, Statistics or equivalent field. - Preferred.
  • 5+ Years Experience providing investment guidance and advice to clients - Required.
  • 5+ Years Demonstrate a superior record of sales achievement while maintaining high ethical standards - Required.
  • Very strong interpersonal communication skills, complemented by both excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Superior knowledge of financial analysis and risk evaluation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a broad range of investment and insurance solutions, including fee-based advisory programs, fixed income strategies, structured products, annuities, and life insurance, with the ability to align recommendations to client objectives and risk tolerance.
  • Proven ability to deliver comprehensive, needs-based financial planning and implement personalized investment strategies that support clients’ long-term financial goals.
  • Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Ability of using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed individual investment sales, revenue, asset growth, and client engagement goals as established by Santander Investments and management.
  • Conduct frequent client appointments through in-person, virtual, and telephone channels to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate investment and insurance solutions.
  • Manage, retain, and grow an assigned book of business through proactive relationship management, ongoing financial guidance, and regular client reviews.
  • Develop new client relationships through effective partnership with branch leadership and licensed bank personnel, generating referrals and uncovering new business opportunities.
  • Deliver a comprehensive, needs-based financial planning experience that aligns client goals, risk tolerance, and investment strategies.
  • Recommend multi-product solutions across a broad range of investment and insurance offerings to help clients meet their financial objectives.
  • Increase assets under management and wallet share by identifying opportunities within existing and prospective client relationships.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable bank, broker/dealer, FINRA, state, and federal regulations governing the sale of investment and insurance products, including Santander’s Uninsured Products Policy Statement.
  • Maintain required professional training, continuing education, and licensing requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted investment resource for internal business partners while maintaining all regulatory and compliance standards.

The Financial Advisor is responsible for identifying client financial needs, understanding investment objectives, and delivering comprehensive investment and insurance recommendations consistent with regulatory and compliance standards. Through a disciplined, needs-based financial planning approach, the Financial Advisor develops and deepens client relationships, grows assets under management, and delivers an exceptional client experience while achieving sales and revenue objectives.

The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
