Year Up United seeks motivated interns for our Financial Advisor Training Program within the Banking, Insurance & Investment sector. As a Financial Advisor Intern, you'll build foundational skills in client service, budgeting, investing, and risk management while supporting senior advisors with research, portfolio reviews, and financial planning tasks. You'll receive coaching, technical training, and exposure to inclusive, mission-driven workplace practices. Responsibilities
  • Support financial advisors or supervisors with basic client intake and information gathering
  • Assist in preparing simple financial summaries, budgets, and savings plans under supervision
  • Maintain organized and accurate client records and documentation using financial software and spreadsheets
  • Learn and apply foundational concepts in banking, insurance, and investments to real-world scenarios
  • Practice explaining basic financial products and services in clear, accessible language to mock or real clients
  • Participate in classroom-based learning on finance, professionalism, and workplace communication
