Overview

This is a unique opportunity to step into an established book of business through a planned two‑year transition with a retiring Financial Advisor. As a Financial Advisor, you’ll partner with clients to help manage every aspect of their financial lives by providing personalized guidance, education, and customized financial planning and investment solutions. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a clientele of investment clients, using the approved product list of our broker dealer and offering non‑deposit investment accounts to Credit Union members
  • Identify opportunities to help members achieve various financial goals
  • Develop a member experience that supports maintaining a book of business
  • Work with front‑line branch and Contact Center staff and other lines of business to increase member penetration for investments
  • Conduct financial education seminars to grow clientele
  • Keep up to date in market knowledge, financial planning, technology, and wealth‑management tools to best serve membership
  • Achieve and surpass annual revenue goal
  • Facilitate advisory business to develop a constant level of recurring income
  • Partner with branch teams to help them achieve their annual goals
  • Prepare and maintain proper documentation, reporting and recording within the company CRM system in accordance with established procedures and compliance needs
  • Respond in a timely manner to all questions of suitability from Broker Dealer and OSJ
  • Stay current with all required continuing education from Regulatory, Broker Dealer and Credit Union
  • Represent WSECU Investment Management and WSECU by presenting a positive and professional image
  • Contribute new ideas and strategies to improve production and work processes
  • Assist in championing the investment department enterprise‑wide
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics or finance or equivalent work experience
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in a financial sales position
  • FINRA Series7,63,65 or66 and state life and health insurance licenses or ability to obtain within six months
  • Satisfactory background check and clean record with securities regulation bodies
  • Well‑developed interpersonal, written and telephone communication skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and percentages
  • Ability to collect and analyze data
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Ability to work under pressure and to handle sensitive information
Compensation

Competitive pay: Earnings $54,252/annually plus commissions, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan.

Work Location

Working Hours

Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, full‑time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this exempt position.
