Job description
Senior Sourcer at Thrivent

Join our team of talented financial advisors who engage in meaningful work and thrive in a purpose-driven culture.

Meaningful work. Rewarding career.

Make an impact by providing expert financial advice with heart. Thrivent is a different kind of financial services firm, one that puts generosity at the center of saving and investing. Here, you'll make an impact in the lives of the people you serve, helping them build, grow, and protect financial well-being through purpose-based advice, investments, insurance, banking, and generosity.

At Thrivent, you'll receive support, stability, and opportunity as a Fortune 500 leader. We offer up to 14 weeks of paid training and coaching to help you obtain your FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations, and complete our comprehensive advisor onboarding program. After onboarding, you'll have control over your income, which is earned through commissions and incentives based on your success.

Job Description

As a Thrivent Financial advisor, you will:

  • Build a financial practice guiding Christians on their journeys to financial clarity, empowering lives of service and faith.
  • Provide personal, actionable, and achievable advice, connecting clients to Thrivent products and programs.
  • Develop and maintain genuine, long-term relationships based on trust and understanding, serving clients across generations and communities.
  • Make client appointments by leveraging your network and Thrivent’s reputation, delivering award-winning financial workshops, and marketing your practice.
  • Enjoy flexibility to control your schedule, supporting work-life balance.
  • Work in a collaborative culture with colleagues committed to your success and willing to help.
  • Receive support from specialists in business development, marketing, technology, engagement, and experienced advisors as you build your business.

Desired Characteristics

We seek individuals who are—or want to become—part of the communities where clients live, work, and worship. Whether experienced in finance or seeking a career change, you could succeed as a Thrivent Financial advisor if you are:

  • Self-disciplined, independent, and driven to succeed.
  • Motivated by helping others achieve their goals.
  • A natural coach or guide with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate about living a life of generosity and serving others, not just selling products.

Successful advisors come from diverse backgrounds such as outside sales, business management, education, ministry, hospitality, military, and more. Skills from these fields often transition well into this role.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; military veterans are encouraged to apply.
  • Attainment of FINRA SIE, state life, and health licenses before contracting.
  • Satisfactory background check, fingerprinting, and verification of securities registration and/or insurance licensing, if applicable.
Compensation and Benefits

Enjoy the benefits of a Fortune 500 organization and more, including:

  • Unlimited earning potential through commissions, bonuses, incentives, recurring revenue, and planning fees.
  • Medical, dental, vision, disability, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance.
  • Pension, 401(k), and retiree medical plans.
  • Ongoing support, training, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Well-being programs for physical, emotional, and financial health.
  • Gift matching to support nonprofit and volunteer efforts.
  • Membership programs to connect with clients and engage the community.
