Job summary

Fortegra is seeking a Manager, Transformation and Integration to lead reporting enhancements and align Finance/Accounting with cross-departmental needs. The role will aggregate data, improve processes, and liaise with the shareholder reporting function, driving data-driven decision making and operational efficiency.

This senior position requires deep knowledge of financial statements, GAAP/IFRS alignment, and Oracle financial systems, with substantial insurance industry experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Statistics, Finance) or equivalent.
• 7+ years’ experience, with insurance industry experience required.
• Expertise in financial statements, with a deep understanding of business economics and reporting.
• Proven abilities to identify and suggest management improvements in financial reporting processes required.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities across a multi-line, geographically diverse organization strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize industry and financial reporting experience to identify areas for improvement in reporting, and oversee the development and delivery of improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance/Accounting and Actuarial departments, and other business resources as necessary, to align efficient reporting needs.
• Develop, and ultimately exploit, a deep understanding of data flow between transactional systems, Oracle financial systems, and financial reporting across various applicable guidance (GAAP, NAIC Statutory, IFRS) to enhance financial reporting capabilities and data-driven decision-making.
• Assist in the design and direction of data structuring to support data aggregation, automated reports, and presentations related to KPI’s and reporting requirements.
• Respond promptly to ad-hoc reporting requests.
