DIRECTV is offering a 10-week remote Tax internship designed for students pursuing Tax, Accounting or Finance. You’ll help minimize operating taxes and work on internal tax processes and software, gaining real-world impact across cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, comfortable presenting to leaders, with strong data analytics, storytelling, and collaboration skills. Remote position open to U.S. students with flexible dates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year undergraduate degree or advanced degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance.
• Demonstrated experience in data analytics and visualization.
• Comfortable presenting to leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• SQL experience is a plus; data storytelling skills valued.

Responsibilities

• Support internal tax processes and software initiatives.
• Analyze drivers of tax values and pending legislation.
• Create SQL reports from Snowflake and visualize findings.
• Develop documentation from ideation to deliverable.

Dive into Tax as a Summer Intern!

The work our team does impacts the DIRECTV Finance organization by minimizing operating taxes, directly benefiting net income. You’ll get the chance to work on internal tax processes and software, putting your education and skills to the test and see real world immediate impact. We work cross-functionally to provide input and support in various initiatives focused on customer- and company-paid taxes.

Project Examples:

• Analytical work to understand the drivers of California property tax values

• Conduct deep financial analysis around pending tax legislation impacting customers and/or DIRECTV

• SQL reporting from Snowflake

Who We’re Looking For

• Students currently pursuing a 4-year undergraduate degree or advanced degree in Tax, Accounting or Finance

• Passion for numbers and data with demonstrated experience in data analytics, visualization

• Comfortable presenting and speaking with leaders

• Highly proficient in Excel and PPT

• SQL experience is a plus

• Power BI

• Data storytelling, ability to synthesize insights out of the data

• Process documentation - ideation to deliverable

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience in virtual, cross-functional collaboration

• Well-organized and able to prioritize

• Self-motivated and able to hold oneself accountable to tasks in a virtual environment

Program Details

• Duration: 10-week remote internship (This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the United States.)

• Program Dates: 6/7/27 – 8/13/27 or 6/14/27 – 8/20/27

• Eligibility: Must have full U.S. work authorization now and in the future

• This position can earn $25 - $34 per hour, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at DIRECTV offers. (Hourly rate based on academic status.)
