Job summary

Vishay Precision Group, Inc. (VPG) in Wendell, NC, seeks a detail-oriented Finance Supervisor to support financial reporting and analysis across assigned entities.

This onsite role participates in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and strong financial controls. You will lead close activities, analyze financial results, manage asset accounting, and support audits while driving improvements in reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience).
• 5–7 years of hands-on experience in general accounting and close processes.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
• Experience in a public company and SOX environment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work across teams.
• Organized, process-driven, and comfortable working under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Prepare and analyze financial results (actual vs. budget, forecast, prior periods)
• Upload and reconcile financial data across reporting systems
• Manage fixed asset accounting and related reporting
• Support internal and external audits
• Oversee sales, use, and property tax filings
• Ensure compliance with company policies and SOX controls
• Partner with leadership to improve reporting accuracy and processes
• Provide backup support for close activities and contribute to ad hoc projects
