Qualifications

• At least two years of financial reporting experience.
• Experience covering finance, capital markets or law preferred.
• Strong writing skills with ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Able to build sources and generate story ideas independently.
• Comfort working with data and public datasets to support stories.

Responsibilities

• Generate a regular flow of news stories for web and print.
• Research and write 2,000–3,000 word features requiring multiple interviews.
• Build reliable contacts across market segments to generate or develop stories.
