Job summary

Suburban Hospital is seeking an experienced FP&A leader to manage and administer complex FP&A programs. This role collaborates with multiple departments to optimize services, maintain standards, and ensure timely budgeting and forecasting processes.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field and 7+ years of financial management experience, with excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams.

Job description

Manages all components of assigned FP&A program(s). Collaborates with various departments to optimize services. Upholds centrally defined standards, assumptions, and timelines.

JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the development and administration of FP&A programs and initiatives.

Advises team(s) and coordinates the work of finance resources.

Collaborates with various departments to improve processes and optimize services. Identifies opportunities for process improvements.

Participates in preparing and coordinating the annual operating budget and recurring local forecast cycles.

Supports managing local inputs to Funds Flow and related financial analyses.

Prepares reporting and presentations for entity leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (Required) and

7+ years of experience in financial management, budgeting, or a related field (Required)

Navigate rapidly changing situations, from evolving patient needs to technological advancements, by remaining flexible, continuously learning, embracing new challenges, and quickly recovering from setbacks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

Manages multiple components of a program; work involved significant coordination of resources, managing team dynamics, and integrating various operational functions.

Strong attention to detail and self-directed to consistently ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Advises others; exercises significant latitude in coordinating the work of others, determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Works seamlessly within diverse teams, bringing together professionals from various disciplines to provide patient-centered care and achieve collective goals.

Oversees the risk management process for large, complex programs, identifying strategic compliance risks and evaluating their potential impact on the organization’s reputation, financial stability, and operational efficiency.

Makes critical decisions regarding the direction of entire programs, including the integration of different projects, strategic alignment with organizational goals, and major resource allocation.

Ability to adapt to program changes, including adjusting strategies or approaches.

Runs program(s) with a moderate budget and impact for FP&A.

Manages comprehensive budgets for a major program.

Responsible for the strategic allocation of resources, optimizing budget use to achieve program objectives.

Advanced proficiency and experience using the Microsoft Office Package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
