Account Manager 2, Target Position Profile

The Account Manager (AM) solves critical business challenges and cultivates new and expanded customer relationships. The AM focuses on understanding the customer's environment and aligning appropriate Ricoh solutions to mission-critical goals and objectives through relationship building with decision-makers and influencers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Business Development & Customer Engagement
  • Execute business development strategies to drive growth.
  • Understand the customer's environment and identify opportunities within new and existing accounts.
  • Open new doors with decision-makers and influencers to generate sales opportunities and increase Ricoh's market share.
  • Solve critical business challenges, both known and uncovered through research and strategic questioning.
  • Understand how customers are buying, not just what they are buying, by focusing on business needs rather than predetermined products or services.
Solution Selling & Account Growth
  • Differentiate Ricoh's ability to accelerate digital transformation through compelling storytelling and solution-based conversations.
  • Identify opportunities aligned with Ricoh's portfolio of products and services.
  • Articulate how purchasing decisions impact a customer's financial position and business outcomes.
  • Assess customer environments and create strategies to expand and extend core services throughout the enterprise.
Communication & Presentation
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Develop and confidently deliver compelling presentations, both in-person and virtually.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and advocates within customer organizations.
  • Position is commission eligible.
Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications) Required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated business development experience.
  • Foundational knowledge of Profit & Loss (P&L) components.
  • Ability to research and analyze customer businesses to drive meaningful business conversations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Preferred
  • Experience in an IT and/or software services environment.
  • Understanding of document workflow solutions and related business processes.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
  • Primarily office-based environment with adequate lighting, ventilation, and standard temperature and noise levels.
  • Work assignments are varied and require the ability to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex information, data, and instructions.
  • Ability to prepare, present, and communicate diverse information effectively.
  • Minimal physical effort required; work is primarily sedentary but may involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting/carrying items up to 10 pounds.
  • Requires moderate manual dexterity, including regular use of a keyboard, calculator, and basic office equipment.
  • Approximately 20% travel required, including occasional overnight travel.
