Job summary

Soni is seeking a Financial Operations Coordinator to process and reconcile financial transactions, generate periodical financial reports, and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial information.

The role involves supporting budgets, contracts, sponsorships, gifts, and endowments, plus managing finance tickets via ServiceNow and collaborating with leadership on ad hoc projects. Strong Excel skills and experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle/PeopleSoft or comparable financial system.
• Advanced Excel skills with formulas, scripts and pivot tables.
• Experience in higher education or nonprofit organizations preferred.
• Experience with JavaScript and/or ServiceNow or other ticketing systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support budgeting, contracts, sponsorships, gifts, endowments in line with guidelines and ensure fiscal compliance.
• Manage finance ticket inquiries via ServiceNow and escalate as needed.
• Support Finance leadership on ad hoc projects and prepare reports to track revenue and expenses.
• Perform trend analysis and forecasting to aid financial and programmatic decisions.
• Assist in finance training for new hires and staff on policy changes.
• Maintain high-quality customer service for students, faculty and staff.
• Assist leadership with annual fiscal closing and oversee administrative finance tasks.
• Other related duties as assigned.
