Job summary

Duke University seeks a Finance and Operations Coordinator to support the Office of Climate & Sustainability (OCS), including Sustainable Duke, Duke Forest, Duke Gardens, and Duke Campus Farm. In this role, you’ll provide financial, administrative, and operational support that helps advance Duke’s sustainability initiatives.

You’ll play a key role in budgeting, financial reporting, and daily operations while also supporting events such as Climate Weeks and the Duke Climate Summit.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in administrative, financial, operational support or equivalent.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, or analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing operational budgets for OCS departments (Sustainable Duke, Duke Forest, Duke Gardens, Duke Campus Farm).
• Monitor transactions and prepare budget vs. actual reports for leadership decisions.
• Prepare and distribute financial statements for OCS departments.
• Coordinate travel and logistics for events and engagements.
• Lead daily office operations and act as first point of contact for OCS inquiries.
