Job summary

Southern Pharmacy Services in Gainesville, Virginia seeks a Financial Operations Manager to drive financial health and operational efficiency of the pharmacy. You will partner with the Director and leadership to deliver timely insights, improve margins, and oversee billing, purchasing and inventory performance.

The role emphasizes data-informed decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Pharmacy Technician certification or ability to obtain trainee license (per state) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee billing processes, including credit card, private pay, supplementals, and collections.
  • Conduct weekly audits and assist with unpaid claims, invoices, and issues resolution.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on margin management, pricing and performance.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve processes and outcomes.

This role blends financial oversight, billing management, reporting and analysis, and team support to ensure the business runs smoothly and profitably.You will serve as a trusted partner to the Director and management team — providing accurate, timely insights that inform decisions, improve margins, and strengthen operational performance.
