FairchildHR is leading the search for an Investment Accountant to support the financial stewardship of the Foundation’s invested assets and donor funds. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working with investments, financial reporting, and complex reconciliations while supporting a mission-driven organization.

This position works closely with the Vice President, Finance, investment advisors, and internal leaders to ensure accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance related to the Foundation’s investment portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform investment accounting and portfolio reconciliations for pooled and non-pooled investment accounts, ensuring accurate reporting of invested assets
  • Manage cash management and fund accounting processes, including donor-directed investment allocations across multiple investment pools
  • Serve as liaison with investment advisors and banking partners, supporting documentation, reporting, and compliance with investment policy statements
  • Monitor portfolio performance and investment results, preparing quarterly reporting for the Investment Committee and leadership
  • Track program-related investments, assist with financial due diligence, and support audit and financial statement reporting related to investments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (Associate’s degree with relevant experience considered)
  • Knowledge of alternative investments or investment accounting is a plus
  • Familiarity with US GAAP as it relates to investments preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills
  • Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Office 365
  • Ability to learn and utilize platforms such as Salesforce and Sage Intacct
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, collaborative approach with the ability to work independently
