Amazon.com Services LLC in Seattle, WA is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead pricing finance initiatives. You will own the Cost Out Initiative program, partner with Pricing PM teams, and drive analytics to influence strategic decisions and long-term cash flow.

You will deliver rigorous financial modeling, partner with multiple geographies, and report to senior leadership with clear, data-driven communications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• 5+ years of applying KPIs to analyses and financial performance tracking.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the WW Pricing & Promotions Finance team. Pricing is integral to Amazon's ability to deliver on its everyday low price promise to customers. With millions of products available on Amazon, Pricing develops technology to compute and publish prices for every retail item in Amazon's global catalog, delivering competitive prices across full range of products and automating decision-making. The Finance Manager will be a critical partner to the pricing team, owning the pricing Cost Out Initiative program. This includes supporting financial modeling and decision making processes for strategic initiatives within the pricing product management teams. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical, financial modeling, and communication skills. They will possess strong business partnership and project management skills and collaborate effectively with stakeholders. The candidate will also possess the leadership to influence, bias for action, the passion to think big while driving business results, and developing a world class team.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage the Cost Out Initiative program for WW Pricing.
• Partner with the Pricing Product Management teams to identify and size new strategic initiatives.
• Work closely with pricing team to set up, execute and analyze pricing experiments to drive long term free cash flow.
• Provide critical insights to the Pricing leadership team by owning monthly and quarterly reporting for the program.
• Build and maintain in depth knowledge across key business areas by staying current on initiatives, challenges/opportunities across the business.

A day in the life

This role will own end-to-end financial reporting and analysis for pricing, working backwards from customer needs to deliver actionable insights. This includes building scalable financial models and conducting deep-dive analyses to uncover variance drivers and identify opportunities for optimization. The role will partner with cross-functional teams across multiple geographies to implement best practices and drive standardization at scale. The role will deliver written and verbal communications that are data-driven, concise, and compelling to influence senior leadership decisions.

About The Team

The Finance team for this role supports the Global Pricing team, whose vision is to provide customers with low, competitive prices across our entire selection, simplify discovery of our best offers, and earn trust by transparently helping customers understand price quality and value.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
