Job summary

Amazon is seeking a senior finance leader in the Bellevue area to drive financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for a fast-moving operations network. This role oversees data-driven analysis, cost reductions, and profitability initiatives across multiple sites.

You will manage a team, develop standards for weekly/monthly closes, and partner with Operations to deliver timely, accurate decision data. A background in forecasting, budgeting and financial modeling is essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • MBA or CPA.
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
  • Experience with data mining and reporting tools (SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

  • Expertise collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to lead business improvement and cost reductions
  • Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data, then assisting the FC improve and create new measures for site productivity
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
  • Manage the development of all weekly and monthly financial close, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous innovation and communicating to your Operations partners
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
  • Proven ability to manage a team with competing priorities & providing level-headed guidance during unexpected events

Job Responsibilities Include

Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
