Amazon is seeking a Finance Manager for the NA Ops FCAP Finance Team to lead FP&A for Capacity/Initiatives investments. You will drive planning cycles, build rolling 3-year financial models, and partner with leaders to translate data into actionable insights in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires exceptional communication and analytical skills, deep dive analysis, and the ability to influence decisions across cross-functional teams including finance, engineering and technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in finance, accounting, business, economics or related analytical field.
• 5+ years of experience in tax, finance or related analytical field.
• Experience identifying and executing opportunities to automate and improve finance tools.
• Experience building financial and operational reports to inform decisions.
• Knowledge of forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join the North America Operations (NA Ops) Fixed, Capex, Analytics & Planning (FCAP) Finance Team and lead the FP&A space for our Capacity/Initiatives investments. This is a highly visible role supporting several business and finance leaders (L8s/L10s) on goals, launching planning review mechanisms and building bottoms-up rolling 3YF financial models. The right candidate must have exceptional communication and analytical skills, have the ability to dive deep and succinctly communicate findings/ideas, as well as be able to navigate a dynamic and fast pace work environment.

Key job responsibilities

• Leading the planning cycles for a multi-billion dollar business.
• Deep-diving variances vs. plan to understand changes and uncover opportunities for efficiency improvement.
• Leading cross-functional projects involving finance, engineering and tech teams.
• Form strategic plans to improve processes, tools, and analytics. This involves ownership of project ideation, pilot implementation, stakeholder management, and ultimately expansion
• Leverage Operations metrics to identify cost out opportunities by linking up operations and financials
• Identifies risks, evaluates impact, proposes changes, and implements improvements to remediate gaps
• Drive automation and process improvement across planning, top-down forecasting and goal management processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
• 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Knowledge of of financial reporting tools (Cognos, Redshift)
• MBA, or CPA

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
