Job description

Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to drive supply chain optimization initiatives with a financial lens. Amazon operates the most complex retail networks in the world, delivering billions of packages to hundreds of millions of homes and businesses annually. Come be part of this fascinating operation and join a dedicated team committed to operational and financial excellence where you will focus on the inputs, think like an owner, and where every day is Day One. Our US Amazon Robotics Sortable (USARS) Finance team closely partners across Operations and program teams to support a rapidly expanding business while building a connected network of fulfillment centers, delivery stations, sort centers, vans, box trucks, and technology to deliver customers' packages on time - often next day, sometimes faster. Come make history with us.

Key job responsibilities

The US Amazon Robotics Sortable Finance team is seeking a Finance Manager to spearhead critical partnerships with Operations, Supply Chain, and Strategy teams. This pivotal role demands a highly analytical mind capable of driving a nationwide agenda focused on optimization, efficiency, and data-driven insights. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical prowess, leveraging advanced data analysis techniques to uncover actionable insights and drive substantial cost savings across multiple organizations and stakeholders.

Central to this position is the ability to translate complex financial findings into compelling narratives through exceptional writing skills. The successful candidate must demonstrate a talent for crafting clear, persuasive documents that effectively communicate intricate financial concepts as this skill is crucial in influencing the strategic decisions of senior leaders.

The role presents a unique opportunity to lead extensive cross-functional initiatives, requiring a strategic thinker who can navigate complex organizational structures and align diverse stakeholders towards common goals. Experience in this high-impact position not only contributes to broader end-to-end operations but also opens up several career opportunities across Amazon.

About The Team

Amazon Robotics Sortable (ARS): ARSs are highly-productive FCs where the items are stored in AR Pods moved by robots to the associate's position, hence the associate does not need to walk to pick the product. The primary functions of an ARS is to receive the items, stow and then pick them from the robotic floor where they are stored and pack them to ship.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
  • 6+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA, or MBA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
