Job summary

Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to partner with a Special Projects team that takes the Think Big leadership principle to the max. You will work with innovators, entrepreneurs, builders, and dreamers to transform bold ideas into high-impact strategic initiatives.

In a fast-moving, start-up style environment, you will own end-to-end P&L planning, conduct financial modeling, scenario analysis, and present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or BS degree.
• MBA or CPA preferred.
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance support for new business cases including opportunity-sizing, financial modeling, scenario analysis, validating assumptions, etc.
• Partner with cross-functional teams across programs to ensure operating plans deliver strong returns on investment and sustainable, long-term growth
• Influence strategic decisions by developing analyses, frameworks, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership
• Evaluate and steer business plans encompassing pricing, monetization, roadmap, resourcing, and investment allocation
• Define and analyze key metrics to measure business and financial performance; surface insights that accelerate improvement
• Own end-to-end P&L planning and analysis as well as financial controllership and launch readiness activities
