Job description

Finance Manager, Production
Own the end-to-end production finance for Anduril's product portfolio

Location: Costa Mesa, California, United States; Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Compensation: $129,000 - $171,000 USD / year

About The Role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI‑powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

About The Job

We are seeking a Manufacturing Finance Manager with 7-10 years of experience to join our Production Finance team. You'll be embedded as a thought partner to senior leadership, partnering with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, marketing, product, and growth teams to optimize cost management, pricing, and financial strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, experience in operations or hardware environments, and the ability to build strong business relations with internal customers. This individual will directly own financials for a given product portfolio, guiding strategic decision‑making and optimizing financial performance. The successful candidate will play an active role in shaping strategy rather than functioning solely as a service provider – the deeper you go the better your results.

What You'll Do
  • End to end financial management of production execution: including, but not limited to, headcount, cash/working capital, demand planning, standard costing, production attainment, and managing product margins.
  • Establish alignment & transparency into Standard Costing and BOM costs for a portfolio of Anduril products.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Division Finance and Manufacturing Functional teams to own consolidation of Product Revenue and costing models, business case analyses, and decision‑making frameworks.
  • Lead planning and execution of financials and resource analysis across functions such as engineering, supply chain, program management, and operations.
  • Develop long‑term cost management and reduction programs, including product profitability roadmaps for new technologies.
  • Build novel financial frameworks for thinking through operational decisions, including but not limited to manufacturing, supply chain, etc.
  • Support cross‑functional teams with trade‑off studies to achieve sustainable unit economics.
  • Develop complex financial models to assess various financial scenarios and support strategic initiatives.
  • Adopt a standardized data model, but tailor it to the needs of your respective Product portfolio.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline FP&A activities and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Lead the development of executive‑level reporting and present financial insights to senior management.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or technical background (Engineering/Supply Chain/Operations) is a plus.
  • 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing finance, business unit finance, management consulting, investment banking, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in an understandable manner.
  • Strong analytical aptitude; ability to think about problems in terms of numbers.
  • Experience executing analyses in Excel and translating findings to business partners.
  • Willingness to learn how to use corporate systems (e.g., Salesforce, Coupa, Anaplan) and analytic/dashboarding tools (e.g., Palantir Foundry).
  • Comfort communicating broadly and having a large audience review your work; this role can at times require communication with large groups and senior leadership.
  • Enjoy working at a place where flexibility is valued; you can leave early for appointments or run errands, but may also respond to Slack in the evening while watching Netflix.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
