Job summary

Rubrik, based in Palo Alto, seeks a Finance Manager to own financial reporting for sales and finance leaders and to manage headcount and travel expenses. This role reports to Finance and will influence annual planning, bookings forecasting, and monthly/quarterly reporting.

From day one, this position will have high visibility with senior management and requires in-office attendance in Palo Alto 3 days a week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree.
• Advanced Excel & Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well in cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships with key partners.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own headcount management and collaborate with Sales Ops and Recruiting to maintain accurate source of truth for actuals & forecasts.
• Construct & present monthly and quarterly reviews of CRO and CBO pillars to Sales and Finance Executives; track bookings by product/team, expense by type/team, and ROI/cost-benefits KPIs.
• Provide BvA explanations to Finance Executive Leaders.
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior management to review and improve performance.
• Mentor junior analysts and establish repeatable processes for the team.

The Finance Manager will be a key member of the Go-To-Market Finance team. Reporting to Director Finance, they will own financial reporting to finance and sales leaders. They will manage Headcount, T&E expense, and support key deliverables like annual planning, bookings forecast, BvA analysis, monthly/quarterly financial reporting and ad hoc analysis of the business. From day one, this role and their work will have high visibility and impact to the senior management at Rubrik.

This position will be based in Palo Alto, California and will require in-office attendance 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Own headcount management and collaborate with Sales Ops and Recruiting to maintain accurate source of truth for actuals & forecasts
• Construct & present monthly and quarterly review of various pillars in the CRO and CBO’s org to Sales and Finance Executive Leaders
  • Bookings by Product / team
  • Expense by type / team
  • RoI/Cost-benefits ratios and other KPIs of various supporting orgs
• BvA explanations to Finance Executive Leaders
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior management as needed to review and improve business and financial performance
• Mentor junior analysts on the team, and construct independent processes that support your work, that analysts can be trained on

Essential Skills & Experience

It Is Helpful, But Not Required To Have

• Experience with Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, Salesforce, Tableau, Workday, Coupa
• Prior experience managing headcount and conducting BvA calls (Budget vs Actual)
• Experience with sales bookings plan, expense plan, sales headcount ratios

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US Pay Range

$141,300—$211,900 USD
