Who we are: Global Procurement Organization Finance (GPOF) is dedicated to answering the questions above, which drive the Amazon flywheel. The GPOF team validates procurement methodologies, supports vendor negotiations and strategy, and delivers analysis to identify controls and risks opportunities and benefits impacting category management and procurement operations. Team Exposure: This role collaborates closely with a broad range of global finance and business leaders in Procurement, Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams towards controllership and risk functions. The role also partners with stakeholders across technical projects & software development teams, capital planning, compliance, risks and controls. This role involves driving initiatives, collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to lead business improvement and driving controls and policy compliance across the global procurement organization. This role also maintains project oversight, drives initiatives and policy reviews and partners with category management on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the scalability and efficiency of the procurement organization.

Success in this role: The successful candidate has demonstrated the following abilities: they drive strategic decisions and provide thought leadership to influence senior business owners, while challenging assumptions and plans with data-driven recommendations. They navigate ambiguous environments independently and design long-term solutions with limited guidance. You will develop and implement robust financial controls and risk management frameworks while building and maintaining strategic partnerships across multiple organizations, including Operations business teams, engineering services, and Finance teams throughout Worldwide Operations. You will lead complex financial analyses and modeling efforts that drive strategic decision-making, while architecting and implementing scalable solutions that enhance planning/reporting mechanisms. The role involves identifying and driving long-term investment strategies and cost optimization opportunities across the Fulfillment Center network, while managing multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate ambiguous environments, challenge assumptions with data-driven insights, and influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive meaningful change.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
• 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
• 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
