Amazon is seeking a highly analytical and resourceful Finance Manager, FP&A to support Amazon's Global Logistics Network. You will drive profitability and customer experience by impacting the development, planning, and execution of our Inbound supply chain network.

You will work with the Inbound Reporting/Planning and Execution team, translating complex financial data into actionable recommendations that influence leadership decisions and optimize the supply chain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
• 6+ years of identifying incomplete data, root cause analysis and escalation planning.
• 6+ years of delivering forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation with impact.
• MBA or CPA.
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
• Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and other financial systems (Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Amazon is seeking a highly analytical and resourceful Finance Manager, FP&A to support Amazon's Global Logistics Network. In this role, you will drive profitability and customer experience by directly impacting the development, planning, and execution of our Inbound supply chain network. The role will require quickly learning and fully grasping the business’s economics to understand the big picture, gaining proficiency in our data to capture the right details, and communicating clearly and succinctly to effectively partner with business leaders and influence decisions.

This person will work closely with the Inbound Reporting/Planning and Execution team as their strategic finance business partner. They will take a practical, down-to-earth approach to thoroughly understand the team's operations, identify cost savings opportunities, and own the process for securing financial entitlements. Through regular meetings and deep dives into data and performance metrics, they will gain insights into areas for optimization and process improvements. This analytical role will require the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations that influence decision-making and drive profitability for the Inbound supply chain network.

About the team

The Inbound Transportation Finance Team is responsible for oversight of the consolidated P&L that comprises of Imports, Domestic Inbound, and Transfers and is responsible for getting inventory from Vendors to Fulfillment Centers (FCs) as well as moving inventory within the FC network in a cost efficient and timely manner.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

• 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

• MBA, or CPA

• Knowledge of SQL/ETL

• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
