Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker Connecticut is seeking a Finance Manager, Farm & Hardware, in a hybrid role. You will provide financial leadership, business analysis, and strategic decision support to grow profitability and cash flow.

You’ll influence pricing strategies and evaluate new opportunities while acting as a finance business partner for the Farm & Hardware commercial accounts, leading monthly closes and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or business analysis, preferably within a Corporate Finance, FP&A or Commercial finance environment.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, solid oral and written communicator, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work across all functions, generate solutions/recommendations to issues before topic is presented to management, and excellent computer skills.
• Demonstrated financial systems acumen, with the ability to effectively use financial tools and systems to support accurate reporting, analysis, and informed decision-making.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, Power BI, knowledge of Hyperion HFM and SAP or their equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership, analysis, and strategic decision support to maximize growth and profitability.
• Collaborate closely with commercial sales, operations, and Farm & Hardware account teams to drive results and ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Act as a finance business partner for Farm & Hardware commercial account team.
• Lead monthly financial close processes for Farm & Hardware commercial business, facilitating timely and accurate reporting of financial results and variances.
• Develop, analyze, and present financial results, quarterly forecasts, and annual operating plans to support business planning and decision-making.
• Provide actionable insights on sales performance, margin analysis, and profitability drivers.
• Partner with sales and operations teams to evaluate promotional activities, pricing strategies, and new business opportunities.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Support contract negotiations, rebate calculations, and compliance with financial policies.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting, forecasting, and analytics
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and Farm & Hardware counterparts.
• Perform Ad-hoc analytics as necessary.
