Job summary

The Home Depot seeks a Finance Manager to lead the Financial Services & Payments (FS&P) P&L, including cost of acceptance and the private label credit card portfolio. You will forecast and plan, present financial analysis to FS&P leadership, and drive monthly/adhoc reporting.

You will identify trends, develop strategies to hit targets, and coordinate with Global FP&A and Accounting. This role requires strong finance/app analytics and cross-functional engagement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
• MBA preferred.
• Experience in Private Label Credit or Bankcard portfolio analysis.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Google BigQuery.
• SAP/S4 HANA experience.

Job description

Position Purpose

The Financial Services & Payments Finance Manager is responsible for managing the FS&P P&L including cost of acceptance, private label credit card P&L, and G&A. The Finance Manager’s responsibilities include: (i) P&L forecasting and planning, (ii) preparing and presenting financial analysis to FS&P leadership, (iii) preparing monthly and ad-hoc reporting, (iv) identifying trends and develop/implement strategies to achieve financial targets, and (v) reviewing and analyzing the performance of Home Depot’s Private Label Credit Card portfolios. Additionally, the associate will manage the relationship with Global FP&A and act as a liaison to Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving - Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensures execution of department objectives. Participates in preparation of the annual budget, reviews monthly expenditures and ensures that budgetary goals are met. Reviews monthly metrics to ensure goals are met.
• Conduct financial planning for function and make appropriate recommendations.
• Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams in an efficient manner to effectively perform any financial function and activity; utilizes metrics to track performance and manage workload. Ensures operational processes and procedures are compliant and consist with established policies.
• Drive key functional financial metrics.
• Project Management- Develops and supports a strategic alliance with business partners. Participates in cross-functional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing our competitive advantage. Facilitates cross-functional communication with other areas of the business including but not limited to Finance, Human Resources, Real Estate, Operations, and Information Systems.

• Typically reports to a Sr. Manager

Travel Requirements

• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
