BD in Utah is seeking a Finance Manager to partner with business leaders, oversee financial planning, analysis, and control activities for a business unit.

You'll drive budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic analytics, ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance, and collaborate across the organization. This on-site role requires strong communication and Excel-based modeling, with experience in FP&A and commercial finance.

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive finance experience incl. FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Proven ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to varied audiences.
• Strong Excel skills and financial modeling experience.

Overview

The Finance Manager at Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) plays a critical finance business partner role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing strategic financial insights to support business objectives. This position will be responsible for managing financial planning, analysis, and control activities within a specific business unit or function including supporting new product development investment decisions, forecasting, and strategic analytics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans.
• Provide financial business partnering to functional leaders, offering insights and recommendations to drive performance and achieve financial targets.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and company policies.
• Conduct variance analysis, identifying key drivers and proposing corrective actions.
• Oversee and optimize financial processes, systems, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Support strategic initiatives, including business case development, M&A due diligence, and integration activities.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
• Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles or finance roles only including experience communicating complex financial information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
• Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting including experience associated with commercial finance
• Proficient Excel skills, and financial modeling experience
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or CPA
• Experience using SAP, Hyperion, and/or Power BI
• Experience in a product vs. service industry strongly preferred
• Medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience
