Sabre Industries, a leading manufacturing company, seeks a Finance Manager to oversee planning, reporting, and accounting for the segment. You will partner with leadership across operations, production, and supply chain to drive performance and strategic decisions.

The role requires strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost accounting, with hands-on ERP experience. This position is on-site and offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting.
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis experience.

• Experience partnering with operations and senior leadership to support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including statements and analyses.
• Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with department leaders.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, materials, overhead, and variances to identify opportunities.
• Partner with plant/operations leadership to monitor performance, productivity, and profitability.
• Develop financial models, KPIs, and analytical tools for planning and pricing decisions.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate reporting within deadlines.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow, inventory, AR/AP, and other financial drivers.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and policies; support audits and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve visibility and efficiency.
• Take on additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Scope of Responsibility:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, analysis, and accounting activities for the segment. This role serves as a key financial partner to leadership, operations, and other functional teams, providing accurate financial information, actionable analysis, and guidance to support business performance and strategic decision-making. The Finance Manager will work closely with accounting, operations, production, supply chain, sales, and executive leadership to monitor financial performance, manage budgets and forecasts, analyze manufacturing costs, and ensure financial controls and reporting processes are effective and aligned with company objectives.

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including financial statements, management reporting, and analysis of business performance.
• Manage the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in partnership with department and operational leaders.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, labor, materials, overhead, inventory, standard costs, and production variances to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with plant and operations leadership to monitor financial performance, productivity, cost control, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, KPIs, and other analytical tools to support business planning, capital investments, pricing, and strategic decision-making.
• Oversee and support month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring financial information is accurate, complete, and delivered within established deadlines.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow, inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other areas impacting the company’s financial position.
• Maintain and improve financial policies, procedures, internal controls, and processes while supporting audits, tax activities, and other compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with accounting, operations, supply chain, sales, and leadership teams to improve financial visibility, reporting efficiency, and overall business performance.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required. CPA, CMA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification preferred. Equivalent combination of education, professional training, and industry experience may be considered.

Experience:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis, or related roles.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or other operationally complex environment preferred.
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory, standard costing, or production finance preferred.
• Experience partnering with operations and senior leadership to support financial and business decisions.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, variance analysis, and internal controls.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership and operations.
• Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining confidentiality, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
• Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling office equipment
• Ability to lift and carry light office materials (e.g., up to 20 lbs)
• Ability to walk through and work within a manufacturing or plant environment as needed, including navigating production areas and observing manufacturing operations.
