AbbVie is seeking a Finance Manager for the Apex organization in US Strategic Operations Finance. This role provides financial leadership for LBE, Plan and LRP planning processes, delivering analyses, recommendations, and decision support to enable timely execution of all financial deliverables.

You will partner across functions to drive forecast adjustments, perform month-end close, and lead LBE/Plan presentations while supporting ad hoc projects and corporate planning needs.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting required.
• MBA/CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and reporting for APEX SG&A for Plan, LBE and LRP.
• Manage Month end close activities including allocations, reclass entries, landing estimates, and ad hoc analyses.
• Lead APEX LBE presentations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with partners to capture forecast adjustments.
• Analyze results vs. plan and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support special projects and corporate planning requests.

Job Description

The Finance Manager - Apex position is the primary contact Finance contact for the APEX organization within US Strategic operations Finance. The primary objective of this position is to provide financial leadership for the LBE, Plan and LRP planning process for APEX organization. The position will be responsible for providing financial analysis, recommendations, and decision-making support. This position is responsible for supporting development and implementation of processes and procedures to facilitate accurate and timely execution of all financial deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects for planning and reporting for APEX SG&A for Plan, LBE and LRP.
• Responsible for all Month end close activities, including but not limited to Business unit allocations, reclass entries, accurate landing estimates, and Ad hoc analysis/requests.
• Lead APEX LBE presentations.
• Establishing and maintaining timely routine collaboration with business partners to capture forecast adjustments.
• Analyze financial results and business performance versus key benchmarks, including annual Plan, LBE, prior year, and other relevant scenarios.
• Identify key trends, drivers, risks, opportunities, and variances to support management decision-making.
• Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, functional initiatives, and corporate planning requests as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting Required.
  • MBA/CPA preferred.
• 7+ years progressive accounting or finance experience
• Strong understanding of Company financial planning processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of automated accounting systems such SAP and BPC. Skillful with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
• Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to solve business problems through the proactive identification of issues and subsequent collection, analysis, and interpretation of related data
• Experience working independently as well as team environments and integrating activities across multiple functions / divisions
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while balancing competing priorities
• Ability to work well in a team environment and build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
