Amazon seeks a Finance Manager for the Devices Finance team in Sunnyvale, CA. The role partners with Operations and Product Management Finance to drive critical processes, develop the product roadmap, and deliver insightful financial analyses.

The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional initiatives, build robust financial models, and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • Experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups), or experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and track key operations metrics, in an effort to provide insights and drive cost reductions
  • Own driving, consolidating, and reporting out the comprehensive Amazon Devices Product Roadmap
  • Build and maintain reporting for strategic investments within Amazon Devices
  • Provide support for month end reviews, forecasts, and annual operating plans
  • Build financial models, derive insights from large data sets, and present analyses and recommendations to senior leadership in Operations and Finance
  • Produce ad-hoc analyses and assisting in various projects
  • Drive increased efficiencies by automating reporting & analytics and enhancing existing processes

This role will have heavy impact and high visibility to essential, business-critical processes, and will require close partnership with Operations and Product Management Finance. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong interpersonal and communication skills, data mining and modeling capabilities, keen attention to detail, sound logical reasoning, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Moreover, the successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
  • Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to support business decisions, or experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
  • Experience working with a cross functional team
  • Experience building and maintaining relationships with business partners
  • Experience using financial models, KPIs, and data analysis to support business decisions, or experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Excel, COGNOS, or Oracle
