Bayer is seeking a Finance Manager in Whippany, NJ to lead U.S. Sales financials, governance, working capital, and P&L performance. You will partner with Sales Strategy, Operations, and Accounting to drive strategic revenue management and analytics across customers and brands.

You will collaborate with FP&A, Brand Finance, and Marketing to plan trade-program spend, manage overhead, and ensure robust financial controls. Fluency in English and FMCG experience are valued.

FINANCE MANAGER

The Customer Finance Manager provides financial leadership and operational support for the Sales organization, overseeing performance against U.S. business targets, financial governance, working capital, cash flow, and key P&L components. Partnering with Sales Strategy and Operations, Sales Leadership, Customer Finance teams, Accounting, and GBS, the role supports commercial decision-making, customer segmentation, sales quotas, performance standards, and organizational transformation. Priorities include improving financial processes and systems, automated reporting and analytics, trade and pricing management, and Strategic Revenue Management.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare financial updates for the U.S. Sales Leadership Team, focusing on business drivers and insights and taking a proactive approach to risks, opportunities, and contingencies.

• Partner with Sales Strategy and Operations to review, challenge, and validate commercial conditions; support strategic revenue management and financial compliance for rebate and pricing programs across customers and brands; and co-lead segmentation analysis to determine must-win customers and execution plans.

• With the Customer Finance Director, ensure Customer Finance teams drive holistic end-to-end Customer P&L management, externally focused category analytics, and engagement with customer teams.

• Lead financial controlling and Cost to Serve reporting for the full Customer P&L. Partner with GBS and Customer business partners on data submissions and reconciliations.

• Develop a regular operating rhythm with the Customer Finance Director to manage cash flow and identify and unlock key value drivers through breakthrough analysis.

• Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analytics and Brand Finance/Marketing teams on planning and execution of trade-program spend and activities, including assumptions for allowances and rebates.

• Collaborate with FP&A and Accounting on FC trade-rate submissions, Brand financial forecasting, and balance-sheet transactions.

• Support Risk Management and Audit activities within Sales in close collaboration with business and platform functions.

• Own and execute the sales overhead planning process. Partner with Customer Business Partners on FC overhead submissions, including FTE budget versus actuals.

WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS and Finance and/or Sales management experience.

• Strong business and commercial experience, ideally in FMCG.

• Excellent financial acumen, analytical, organizational, and conceptual skills.

• Strong P&L management and customer experience.

• Systems project management and multi-tasking skills.

• Understanding of corporate finance cycles and sales account planning.

• Strong judgment, communication, and cross-functional networking skills.

• Ability to influence without authority and work cross-culturally.

• Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with 6+ years of Finance and/or Sales management experience.

• 8+ years of Finance and/or Sales management experience.

• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel (financial modeling), and financial systems; SAP and Hyperion preferred.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $115,520.00 - $173,280.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certificates, and other relevant factors.
