Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions has been engaged to find a Finance Manager for a large global manufacturing organization based in Kansas City. This role sits at the intersection of financial analysis, operations, and business strategy, serving as a trusted partner to senior leadership.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum of ten years of finance and/or accounting experience.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business partnership experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and charts.
• ERP system experience required, with Oracle experience preferred.
• Manufacturing, engineering, standard costing, or project-based industry experience strongly preferred.
• MBA or CPA preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and translate financial information into practical business insights.

Responsibilities

• Manage the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, incorporating key business drivers and evolving operational assumptions.
• Oversee revenue and margin recognition, project financial analysis, backlog reporting, and related forecasting activities.
• Analyze financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Develop financial models, KPI reporting, dashboards, and executive-level materials that support strategic decision-making.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, project management, and other business leaders to improve commercial outcomes.
• Evaluate business performance, recommend corrective actions, and help leadership implement strategies that improve profitability and operational effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, reporting, systems, and controls.
• Strengthen financial accountability and commercial awareness throughout the organization.
• Support risk management, governance, and compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Leverage technology and financial systems to enhance reporting, generate deeper insights, and improve the efficiency of the finance function.
