Job summary

Faerch Group in Portage, Indiana seeks a North America Finance Leader to own accounting, reporting, FP&A and governance for the region. You will partner with the Managing Director – North America and lead a small NA finance team to drive effective decision support across the business.

You will ensure timely financial reporting, maintain compliance, and contribute to global finance alignment and process excellence initiatives, while developing a high-performing finance function.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (or equivalent) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree level (minimum) required.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for accounting, financial control and compliance across North America.
  • Ensure timely and accurate group reporting, management reporting, and external reporting.
  • Lead financial planning processes including forecasts, budgets, and strategic planning.
  • Act as finance business partner to the Managing Director – North America.
  • Lead, develop and manage the North America finance team.
  • Drive harmonization and standardization of financial processes aligned with Group standards.
  • Support business development initiatives, including CAPEX projects and restructuring.
  • Provide financial analysis for pricing, costing, and profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Champion the use of BI tools across the region.
  • Support audit processes, tax compliance, and liaison with external advisors.

Main tasks
  • Overall responsibility for accounting, financial control and compliance across North America
  • Ensure timely and accurate group reporting, management reporting, and external reporting
  • Lead financial planning processes including forecasts, budgets, and strategic planning
  • Act as finance business partner to the Managing Director – North America
  • Lead, develop and manage the North America finance team
  • Drive harmonization and standardization of financial processes aligned with Group standards
Secondary tasks
  • Support business development initiatives, including CAPEX projects and restructuring
  • Provide financial analysis for pricing, costing, and profitability improvement initiatives
  • Champion the use of BI tools (e.g. Targit) across the region
  • Support audit processes, tax compliance, and liaison with external advisors
Span of control
  • Management of North America finance team (approx. 4 employees across 2 sites)
  • Oversight of accounting, reporting, treasury, and credit control activities
Scope of responsibility
  • Full ownership of finance processes across North America
  • Responsibility for financial accuracy, compliance, and performance reporting
  • Contributor to global finance alignment and process excellence initiatives
Education & certifications
  • Qualified Accountant (or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree level (minimum)
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Experience in finance business partnering
  • Experience in multinational and multi-site environments
  • Experience with group reporting and audit processes
  • Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment is an advantage

  • Strong financial analysis and accounting knowledge
