Job summary

SKDK is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial management for a portfolio of media-based client accounts. The Finance Manager is a key business partner responsible for all financial client deliverables, including client invoicing, WIP management, revenue reconciliations, and forecasting.

The role supports the CFO and other finance team members with month-end close, audits, system implementations, ad-hoc reporting, and leadership in SOX and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 4-8 years of experience in advertising/marketing services.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Independent, self-starter with problem solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with a variety of financial management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Work with client-facing leaders to manage financial elements of client relationships.
  • Oversee project setups, client invoicing, revenue recognition, WIP management, and ensuring postings per contracts.
  • Prepare quarterly client revenue forecasts.
  • Coordinate intercompany billings with sister agencies.
  • Assist the CFO in month-end close, audits, and system implementations.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and financial models; provide analytical support to CFO and senior leadership.
  • Supervise Shared Services AP, AR, and Billing activities.

Overview

SKDK is looking for a Finance Manager to oversee financial management for a portfolio of media-based client accounts. The Finance Manager is a key business partner responsible for all financial client deliverables, including client and project setup, client invoicing, WIP management, revenue reconciliations, client revenue forecasting, reporting and profitability analysis. The primary goal of this role will be to support the Paid Media client leaders with timely and effective financial counsel while also supporting the CFO and other finance team members with month-end close reconciliations, audits, system implementations, ad-hoc reporting, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the various client-facing team leaders (primarily within the Paid Media group) to ensure all financial elements of the client relationship are managed, tracked, monitored, and communicated.

  • Partner with the Shared Financial Team to oversee and track project setups, client media/production invoicing, revenue recognition, WIP management, and ensuring client transactions are posted in accordance with all applicable contractual obligations.

  • Stay abreast of changes and modifications to client budgets and prepare quarterly client revenue forecasts.

  • Coordinate with sister agencies (including Assembly media) on all intercompany billings

  • Assist the CFO in the preparation of various financial presentations (primarily annual budget and quarterly reforecasts).

  • Take a leadership role in the support of internal, external and SOX audits

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed

  • Provide proactive analytical support and other ad hoc financial analyses to the CFO, client leaders and senior leadership.

  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of Shared Services team members within the AP, AR and Billing groups

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.

  • 4-8 years of experience, preferably in an advertising/marketing services organization.

  • Financial planning and analysis experience a plus

  • Strong understanding of GAAP

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Independent, self-starter with problem solving skills

  • Superior organization abilities and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong team collaborator with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies

  • Attention to detail

  • Team leadership experience and skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with a variety of financial management systems

Benefits

SKDK is committed to pay equity. SKDK believes the target range of base compensation in this role is $90,000-$100,000. In addition to base salary, SKDK considers other key components as part of total compensation, including but not limited to an annual discretionary bonus, commission on new business, and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual base compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, such as skillset, level of experience, and location.
